Werewolf Kibble

(AKA: Muddy Buddies or Monkey Munch)

7 cups Rice CHEX cereal
2 cups Cocoa Puffs cereal
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Measure cereals into a large bowl and set aside.

In a 1-qt microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter & butter uncovered on high for 1-2 minutes. Stir. Microwave about 30 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla.

Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into a 2-gallon resealable ziplock baggie.

Add powdered sugar to bag. Seal bag, shake until well coated. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in an airtight container in fridge.

(Or bag this into small cellophane bags labeled "werewolf kibble")

RECIPE NOTE: The original recipe calls for 9 cups of rice Chex. I add cocoa puffs to make this look more like dog kibble. Just make sure you have 9 total cups of cereal no matter what type you use.)
